The Corrugated Box Ordering & Dieline Checklist

04/23/2026

A box that arrives right starts with a correctly specced order, not with the plant. Nailing dimensions, board, and a clean dieline takes a few minutes and avoids a round of revisions and a re-cut die — and if you’d rather not, our structural team will handle it for you free.

Here’s the short checklist we use before every corrugated run.

Measure inside dimensions in the right order

Corrugated dimensions are always inside measurements in length x width x height order, taken at the opening. Measure to the product with a little clearance so it fits snug without forcing, and tell us the product weight so we can spec the board.

Confirm the dieline and style

The dieline is the flat cut-and-crease layout of the box. Confirm the box style — RSC, mailer, or a custom die-cut — and let us build or check the dieline so the creases fold clean and the panels line up. A correct dieline is what makes assembly effortless.

Set board, print, and artwork

Lock the flute and board grade to your weight and stacking, choose the print method for your art and volume, and supply vector artwork (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF) with a small bleed. No print-ready file? Send what you have and we’ll build it.

Key takeaway

No dieline or print-ready file? Don’t worry about any of it — send your product or its dimensions and our team will build the structure and artwork free before you approve.

Send your product, dimensions, and artwork in any format and we’ll return a structural, proofed mockup within one business day — revisions always free.
